“FOR I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU, DECLARES THE LORD, PLANS TO PROSPER YOU AND NOT TO HARM YOU, PLANS TO GIVE YOU HOPE AND A FUTURE.” – JEREMIAH 29:11
When: July 9, 2022 – July 15, 2022
Where: Camp Twin Lakes – Rutledge, GA
What: Camp Hope is a week-long, overnight summer camp that empowers children with the chance to build community, experience new opportunities, and find hope for their future. Camp Hope is the entry point into a decade of progressive programming that is specially designed to support children with an incarcerated parent. We offer two sessions of camp, serving over 200 children of inmates each summer, and we rely on over 200 volunteers to support these camp sessions. Click here to learn more about Camp Hope/Kidz2Leaders.
Cornerstone Camp is for campers between the ages of 8-12. These campers learn the fundamental Christian principles of love, trust, forgiveness, and joy. Cornerstone also focuses on the development of healthy, supportive relationships between peers and between campers and trustworthy teen and adult role models. Campers progress through the Cornerstone curriculum for three to four years before transitioning to the Leadership Training.
At Camp Hope, we create what we like to call Cabin Families. These families consist of an Adult Leader, a Cabin Counselor, and three or four Campers. All volunteers should be strong – or focused on growing – in their leadership skills and well-grounded in their Christian faith.
We ask all cabin volunteers to commit to the entire week of camp and are hoping to rally 60 volunteers to serve. We need males and females from teens to adults to serve in the following roles:
Children of adult volunteers who are too young to serve in a cabin (rising 6th graders and below – must be “potty trained”) may participate in KidzKamp to enable their parent to serve as an Adult Leader. These children have their own Cabin Counselors and exciting schedule at Camp Hope!
Please note: We are unable to predict the number and ages of children who will sign up for KidzKamp. It is possible your child may be the only one of his or her age in the program. Regardless of this, our staff will do everything possible to provide your child with a fun and safe camp experience. KidzKamp is first-come, first-served!

COVID-19 Mitigation Plan
Due to the fluctuating guidelines of the CDC, we will be closely monitoring those changes as we approach camp. We will have more specific updates as we get closer to July.
