We do not give simply because the Church has needs. We give because everything we have belongs to God, because His grace has changed us, and because generosity is an expression of our love, trust, and worship. 

Jesus gave everything for us. Our generosity is a response to that grace — not an act of obligation, guilt, or recognition, but the overflow of a heart that has been loved well. As we loosen our grip on the pursuit of more and learn to hold what God has entrusted to us with open hands, we discover a different kind of life: one marked by greater freedom, deeper trust, and lasting purpose. 

This is the heart of giving at Mt. Bethel. We give because of what God has done for us, and we trust Him to continue His transforming work in us as we faithfully steward what belongs to Him.

with our devotion to God. Jesus calls us to choose whom we will serve. Generosity helps loosen the grip of accumulation and reorient our hearts toward
what lasts.

God gave His Son for us, not because we deserved it, but because He loves us. We give in response to that extraordinary grace. Cheerful generosity is not reluctant compliance; it is the overflow of a heart transformed by the love of Jesus Christ.

HOW WE MAKE THE TRADE  
First-Fruits Is the Posture. Tithe and Offering Is the Journey.  

We put God first by returning the first portion of what He provides as an act of worship and trust. The tithe — the first ten percent — is the biblical goal toward which we grow. The offering goes beyond the tithe, expressing a heart that desires to give generously out of gratitude and love. What matters is not simply a percentage, but a life increasingly surrendered to God.

Mt. Bethel recognizes that all resources belong to God and that the Church is entrusted with stewarding those resources faithfully. Our financial oversight and governance practices are established through the Church's governing documents and approved policies. We are committed to responsible stewardship, accountability, and using resources in support of the Church's mission. For details about the specific oversight structure, governing authority, and financial review procedures, please consult the Church's governing documents located on the website or contact the Finance team.

You can give through Mt. Bethel's secure online giving platform. The platform also allows you to establish recurring gifts and manage your giving preferences.

Financial giving statements are available online. If you need help accessing a statement or have a question about your giving record, contact the Finance team.

Yes, Mt. Bethel Church can provide instructions for eligible stock and securities gifts. A letter of Authorization for Stock Transfer can be downloaded here. You may contact Janet Beaumont on the Finance team directly before initiating a transfer at (770) 971.4282.

These options may be available depending on the type of account, the gift, and applicable requirements. Contact the Finance team at 678.560.7462 for instructions and consult your tax or financial advisor regarding your individual circumstances.

Mt. Bethel's giving platform offers limited designated giving options to particular ministries or funds. General giving supports the Church's overall Kingdom work in all of the Church's Ministries. Details of annual ministry budgets are provided at semi-annual member meetings held in the fall and spring. If you have questions about the distinction between general gifts and those designated for a particular purpose, please contact the Finance team before giving.

Mt. Bethel provides giving acknowledgments and statements in accordance with applicable practices and requirements. Financial giving statements are available online.
