Welcome to Church
No matter who you are, what you believe, and where you’re coming from, we welcome everything about you that makes you unique. Bring your story–without it, you wouldn’t be who you are. We believe that everyone is made unique, with different talents, experiences, and challenges. If you choose to join us, we have faith that God has a purpose for you in our family.
What to Expect
Our friendly group of greeters will welcome you as if you have always been part of our family. They will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have. We understand that this kind of attention can be overwhelming to some newcomers. If you’d prefer to slip in quietly, contact us ahead of time to let us know you’re coming, and we will be happy to provide you with helpful information and answer your questions before you get here.
When you enter the Mt. Bethel East Cobb campus from Lower Roswell Road, you’ll find our main parking lot all the way to the left of the building. Our friendly parking ushers will be available to direct you to our Children’s area, modern service, or traditional service.
Next Gen - Sunday Ministries
In order to protect the health of the children in our care, we ask that children be kept at home with any of the following conditions: vomiting, fever, diarrhea, deep bronchial cough, or any other contagious illnesses. Any child should be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to the Children’s Ministry.
How to Check-In
The safety of your children while in our care is of great importance to us. For this reason, we have check-in and pick-up procedures to ensure the security and safety of your children. Read more »
Six-Weeks – Three Years
9:30 and 11am | D Hall
The Mt. Bethel Nursery provides a Christ-centered, loving environment for children ages six weeks through two years old. Children that turn two before September 1 can attend 2’sTown on Sunday mornings, an interactive Bible lesson with story, video, craft and activities. If you are new to Mt. Bethel and would like to see the nursery on Sunday mornings, we offer informal tours during worship services. Email Tessa Montoro to learn more about us, or call 770.971.2588. Nursing room available in D10 on Sunday mornings.
Three Years – Sixth Grade
9: 30am | Education Building | Available during school year
Catechesis is an alternative approach to the religious and spiritual formation of children. It is rooted in the Bible, the Liturgy, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Level 1 is for ages three (potty-trained children who reach age three before September 1) through Kindergarten. Level 2 is for grades 1-3, and Level 3 is for grades 4-6. Registration is required and runs during the school year. Please direct additional questions to our Catechesis Coordinator, Betsy Brown or click here for more details.
Three Years – Young Fives
9:30 and 11am | Upper C Hall
Station34 is where the seeds are planted for a lifetime of faith formation. If you have a pre-schooler age 3-5 (not yet in Kindergarten), we invite them to join the fun on Sunday mornings! Each station is lead by a caring and dedicated leader who creates a loving and Christ centered environment for our friends. The Bible will come alive through interactive worship, large group Bible stories, and small group time.
Kindergarten – Fifth Grade
9:30 and 11am | Fellowship Hall
Welcome to KidCity, where kids are taught to love Jesus, live like Jesus, and shine His light to others like a “city set on a hill.” At KidCity, children will be part of a small group of friends led by caring adults and leaders. In large group worship, they will experience live music, games and a Bible message delivered by seasoned leaders. Finishing in small group, kids will discuss the Bible lesson and apply Biblical principles to their life with activities and crafts.
Ministry for Special Needs
9:30 and 11am | D Hall
Currently we offer two spaces dedicated to our special needs ministry - a classroom and an adjoining sensory room. In the classroom, we offer worship music, Bible based messages, and an activity/craft. Our sensory room allows anyone the ability to regroup when needed. At this time, we offer a self contained classroom and a inclusive setting paired with a buddy. At Mt. Bethel our hope is for every child to feel safe and loved while having fun and learning about the love of Christ. We want the whole family to grow with us and call Mt. Bethel their church home. Middle School Worship | 9:30 and 11am | The Upper Room (B Hall)
Sunday mornings are the best time of the week! Our Middle School program features a dynamic worship experience, inspirational speakers, and a game room we call The Cove. After worship, students break into their adult-led life groups to dive deeper into the message content through scripture, questions, and prayer. It’s an amazing time of getting to know Jesus and hanging out with friends. Come join us each Sunday in the Upper Room.
High School Connect | 9:30am | Aerobics Room of the CAC
High School Connect provides time and space to unwind after a busy week. Come grab some free breakfast, dive into scripture, connect with friends, and learn more about who God has called you to be. Our time together ends with our group attending The Gathering worship service at 11am. We hope you can join us each Sunday morning.
Wednesday High School Worship
Worship | 7pm | The Upper Room (B Hall)
Our High School worship service includes a student worship team, an engaging and relevant message, and prayer time to reflect on God’s plan for your life. Students come early to hang out with friends, finish up homework, and eat Wednesday night dinner in the Fellowship Hall. Our Wednesday night services don’t happen every week, so please follow us on Instagram @mtbethelstudents or visit mtbethel.org/wednesday-evening-student-worship to stay up to speed on the dates and details.
Confirmation is Mt. Bethel’s program designed to empower students and their families to connect in their relationships with God in new and growing ways. Confirmation is comprised of six one-hour Sunday morning sessions, as well as a weekend-long retreat, and is not a grade-bound experience, which means that students in grades 7-12 and at least one parent are encouraged to enroll whenever he or she is spiritually ready. Our Spring session begins February 24. Registration online.
