Relationship with Mt. Bethel

In 2011, one of our members recognized the need for a ministry to address the issue of food insecurity in Cobb County, particularly at Fair Oaks Elementary School in Mableton. Through volunteer participation, financial donations, and the use of a nearby home owned by Mt. Bethel, Back Pack Blessings provides backpacks filled with child-friendly foods to students who qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program. These backpacks are distributed on Fridays to children who may not have food for the weekend.

Kingdom Impact

When a child is hungry, he has difficulty focusing, but since the implementation of Back Pack Blessings, student scores have increased in multiple areas. This is not just a feeding program; it is an  investment in the future. When a child experiences the joy of knowing his hunger does not go unnoticed, he begins to understand the love that is also packed into those backpacks, the gift that Jesus Christ shares so freely with the world. Check out our video here.
