A Thanksgiving Blessing in West Virginia

🦃 We are excited to share we will again be traveling to Welch, WV, to serve a special Thanksgiving meal to the families there. Through your generosity to Missions, we will be partnering with Reclamation Church, a new local church in Welch, to provide 100 meals to those living in this extremely impoverished area of the country where nearly 30% of the population live below poverty level.

The group will also share a meal and worship time with our friends at Elk Horn Towers, an apartment community designed specifically for individuals and families living on low to moderate incomes.

🍂 Additionally, we plan to visit a new ministry in the area that opened their doors in September called the Zera House. Their mission is to provide a safe home for women age 18+ who have been trafficked and sexually exploited where they can heal while experiencing the love, hope, and grace of Jesus Christ. This will be a great opportunity to expand our outreach in WV and learn more about the fight against human trafficking.

💲TRIP COST:  $250 – This will cover transportation, lodging, two team meals, funds towards meals for Thanksgiving Blessing and Elk Horn Towers, and any project costs we have while there. You can pay online when you register or write a check to Mt. Bethel Church. All payments must be submitted 1 week before the departure date.  

🏠 LODGING: There is an apartment-style building where teams stay. It has a a fully equipped kitchen, heating and air unit, living room, dining room, and 4 bathrooms with showers. Team members will be partnered in advance of the trip and couples are allowed to stay together.  

🥪 FOOD: Two team meals out are covered in your trip fee. All other meals will be prepared at the apartment. Team members will be partnered together in advance so they can plan their meals accordingly.
