National Day of Prayer 2025
May 1 7:00 am - 6:00 pm | Mt. Bethel Chapel and Campus
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
On May 1,2025, this year’s National Day of Prayer, there are several ways you can participate:
- The chapel will be open from 7am until 6pm. Come at any time throughout the day, and invite your friends and neighbors to pray over the people of our Nation. Prayer prompts will be available to assist you in praying for our leaders, both locally and nationally, as well as requests that have been submitted by the Mt. Bethel Church community.
- Prayer Walks (approximately 30 minutes in length) will occur at the top of each hour beginning at 7am and continuing until 5pm. There will be a leader assigned to each walk. Please arrive a few minutes early in the courtyard in front of the chapel and the Welcome Center to join a group.
- If you are unable to participate on-site at the church, we encourage you to take a moment wherever you are to pray for our nation.
