We all experience ups and downs in our lives. Knowing that God always loves us, is with us, and provides us with not only eternal life but abundant life now. We praise and give Him thanks! We are called to know God more and make God known to others.
What happens when we or someone we love receives a frightening health diagnosis like cancer, major heart damage, or a major mental disease or condition? In less than a minute our life and relationships forever change. Often powerful waves “shock and awe” flood over us. Complete numbness can follow. Then we move to the “What’s next?” stage.
Where is God in this? Why did it happen? We know God is all powerful and yet, how can we move forward with hope and even joy?
One of God’s most amazing gifts in life is to bring incredible courage, strength, love and hope out of even the worst diagnoses and conditions! What are the “upsides” to a terrible health condition?
Join us as Rev. Jim Hollis shares a list of Divine Blessings that God provides all of us to find victories in the worst of circumstances. Jim had a sudden diagnosis of Lymphoma Cancer last year in February and through hundreds of prayers, Christian community, the Staff at Winship Emory, and steady love from our church – he walked with God through the valley of cancer into full remission by December 2024.
