Griefshare – Wednesdays

Every Wednesday Until January 30 at 6:30 pm  |  B-116

NOTE: Meeting dates may change due to holidays.

If you are actively grieving the death of a significant person in your life, including the death of a spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or friend, we strongly encourage you to attend the 13-week GriefShare educational support group offered at Mt. Bethel Church. The program is open to anyone from Mt. Bethel Church and our community or surrounding areas. We hope you will be able to come to all of the scheduled meetings, but don’t exclude yourself if your schedule does not allow you to attend every one of them.

The facilitators both experienced the death of their spouse at mid-life and have also experienced the death of parents, grandparents, siblings, and close friends. Beside the personal experiential piece, they also have expertise in their professions. Dr. Susan Zonnebelt-Smeenge is a licensed clinical psychologist and R.N., and Dr. Bob DeVries is a pastor and seminary professor (emeritus). Together they have co-authored five books on aspects of grieving and one book on living fully after preparing for one’s own death. They also appear in the GriefShare DVD series as having professional expertise in grief and loss issues.
