Caregivers Support Group

We are offering a caregivers’ support group for those who are facing the challenges of caring for loved ones with chronic or terminal illnesses, including, but not exclusive to, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Parkinson’s.
- Purpose: The support group aims to provide education, support, and encouragement to caregivers who often face significant challenges in their roles.
- Scope: It will focus on caregivers for individuals living with chronic or terminal diseases, Alzheimer’s, or dementia.
- Format: The support group will meet weekly on Tuesdays for 7 weeks from 2:30-4pm. It will be available online from 10:30am-12noon and in-person from 2:30-4pm, accommodating various preferences and needs. THIS REGISTRATION IS FOR THE IN-PERSON MEETINGS.
- Content: The sessions will cover topics such as sharing compassion, building camaraderie, exchanging best practices, and offering practical suggestions for daily living and caregiving.
- Environment: The support group aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where caregivers can freely express themselves, receive support, and find solace in knowing they are not alone in their journey.
- Facilitator: Pastor Kim McGarr will facilitate the support group, ensuring that participants receive guidance, understanding, and spiritual support throughout the sessions.
