National Day of Prayer (2024)
May 2 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Mt. Bethel Chapel
LIFT UP THE WORD – LIGHT UP THE WORLD
“For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.”
2 Samuel 22:29-31
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
On May 2,2024, this year’s National Day of Prayer, the historic chapel at Mt. Bethel Church will remain open until 5pm. Come at any time throughout the day, and invite your friends and neighbors to pray over the people of our Nation. If you are unable to join us in the chapel, please pray wherever you are.
