Called to Care (Marietta, GA)

We believe that every child should be able to experience the love of Christ through a network of families. Called to Care exists to share that love with those children in foster care as well as their biological families. Through our community of care, we desire to equip and support Christian foster families as they care for these children.

Called to Care  was created to help recruit and support which means they offer a multitude of serving opportunities: Tutoring, Mentoring, Respite Care, Babysitting, and Transportation.

If you would like to support Called to Care with a monetary gift, you can do so by visiting our “Give” page. Choose “Missions” from the list of funds and indicate “Called to Care” in the note section. Thank you for your heart for helping others.

Project 82 (Kenya)

Project 82 (P82 )responds to God’s call to protect, love, and care for the weak and the vulnerable in Kenya.

Project 82 Kenya has deep and long-standing ties to Mt. Bethel. As one of its founders, a Mt. Bethel member, states, “In 2009, we were a group of ordinary people united by our common heart for orphans in Kenya. Together, we’d experienced firsthand the abject poverty and lack of family stability that plagues so many children of Kenya, and we could not turn away. After witnessing the stunningly beautiful souls and the amazing promise that lives inside each child, we knew we were called to act, and Project 82 was born.”

If you would like to support Project 82 with a monetary gift, you can do so by visiting our “Give” page. Choose “Missions” from the list of funds and indicate “Project 82” in the note section. Thank you for your heart for helping others.

Extreme Poverty & Homelessness

Back Pack Blessings (Marietta, GA)

Back Pack Blessings partners with two elementary schools and the Salvation Army After School Program to reach children who qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program and have little to no food on the weekends.

In 2011, one of our members recognized the need for a ministry to address the issue of food insecurity in Cobb County, particularly at Fair Oaks Elementary School in Mableton. Through volunteer participation, financial donations, and the use of a nearby home owned by Mt. Bethel, Back Pack Blessings provides backpacks filled with child-friendly foods each Friday to students who qualify.

Hands of Hope (Welch, West Virginia)

The vision of Hands of Hope Ministries, Inc. is to spread the love and the hope found in Jesus Christ by helping others in this troubled area. Hands of Hope carries the message of the Gospel as we work to help the needs of the people of southern West Virginia.

Mt. Bethel and Hands of Hope have cultivated a strong relationship over the last 15 years. What began as a simple project in a Sunday school class has blossomed into a beautiful, long-lasting partnership. Hands of Hope is a committed group of servants working to collect and distribute clothing, food and supplies to the people who have watched their livelihoods shutter, their homes go into decay, and their finances dwindle to nothing. As the single department store available to residents in McDowell County, people don’t have to go far to purchase items at low cost as needed at The Hope Chest thrift store.

If you would like to support Hands of Hope with a monetary gift, you can do so by visiting our “Give” page. Choose “Missions” from the list of funds and indicate “Hands of Hope” in the note section. Thank you for your heart for helping others.

Servants In Faith And Technology (Lineville, AL | Global)

SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology), a nonprofit Christian organization, provides training in community development in hard places in our world. Christian leaders learn self-help skills for basic human needs including physical and spiritual needs, social and economic.

In 2008, SIFAT asked Mt. Bethel to send a team to support a large project to build a footbridge over a dangerous river. This was unlike any mission trip we had supported previously, but became one of our most rewarding. We have invested in a training facility in Costa Rica which will enable us to offer family-friendly mission experiences. In years not affected by travel restrictions, Mt. Bethel Missions typically offers a Men’s Mission trip to Bolivia. Our youth have also been part of a “Learn and Serve” Summer Experience with this partner.
