Third Grade Bible Sunday – September 8

This is an important and epic Sunday for third graders at Mt. Bethel. Please make every effort to participate in both parts of the day.  Frequently asked questions below:

How does a third grader participate?

What time do we arrive?

East Cobb Campus | 10:45am | Check-in and put nametag on

North Campus | Fifteen minutes prior to service

If I go to the Sanctuary – Meet the group in the Narthex. We will process in as a group behind the acolytes at the start of the service. No reserved seating.

If I go to the Gathering – Meet in the upstairs lobby. Bible presentation will be at the beginning of the hour.

If I go to North Campus – Please remain with your family in the sanctuary until a pastor calls you forward.

If in KidCity or Catechesis at 9:30, third graders will be escorted to the Narthex. (East Cobb campus)

What happens after the Bible presentation?

East Cobb Campus – Third graders are escorted from both services to F011 for an overview of their Bible. They will receive their personalized name label and make a bookmark. Cookies will be served. Kids will return to the Small Dining Room outside of the Fellowship Hall for pick-up at 12.

North Campus – Third graders will receive a personalized name label and make a bookmark in KidCity after they receive their Bibles.

What happens in the afternoon?

American Ninja Warrior – Bible Edition (4-6pm) Meet outside the Fellowship Hall at 3:45pm to make your ninja headband. Activities start at 4pm, and pizza will be served afterwards. Pick-up at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Are the ninja activities strenuous, like we see on TV?

No. The activities are easy and fun. Each station highlights a different part of the Bible. Dress in shorts and athletic shoes for comfort. Check out the pictures from last year’s ninja event.

How do parents get in on the fun?

Parents can lead their child and his/her friends through the American Ninja Warrior: Bible Edition event. Email Becky.Tolbert.

What if a third grader is in iPraise and sings that Sunday?

After singing the call to worship song in the Sanctuary, wait near the altar for the group to join you for the Bible presentation.
