Thank You Just Isn’t Enough

Someone once told me, “you give and give until it hurts; that is true service.” You give your time, you give your money, you give your love, you give your talents, sometimes you give the shirt off your back, but you always give a piece of yourself. God calls us, as the body of Christ, to humbly serve and love others. In Hebrews 6:10 it says, “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” And we will not forget the love Jeff McGarr has shown us and all those in our special needs ministry. For more than a decade, Jeff has given a piece of himself Sunday after Sunday to show Christ to those around him.
When Jeff began serving in GraceLand in 2005, he had truly followed God’s calling to serve. Jeff began to build relationships with the kids and parents from the start. Anyone who works in GraceLand knows trust is the foundation of a relationship and Jeff is dearly loved and trusted by so many. Cole and Jeff (pictured) bonded over a love of math facts and Veggie Tales eight years ago. Jeff’s every Sunday commitment gave Cole a sense of security. Cole knew when he got to church on Sunday, Jeff would be waiting. Jeff is being called to serve in others ways at Mt. Bethel and we are thrilled to see how God will use him. Please join us in extending a much-deserved THANK YOU to Jeff McGarr!
