Sunday School Confessions

July 13, 2017

To the parents of a handful of first grade children who may or may not have come home from Sunday School this week claiming to have leprosy, my bad. We talked about giving thanks to Jesus for His miraculous healing of the ten lepers in Luke, and I might have casually referred to leprosy as a “rash” (because duh, you can’t tell them what it really is or they would be terrified), at which point they all began pointing to various bumps and bruises to show me their “leprosy.” No worries though — I capitalized on it as an opportunity to remind them of the virtues of frequent hand washing.
