The Servant Hearts of North Campus Youth

One of the many blessings of working in Children’s Ministry at the North Campus is observing the middle and high school-aged students who willingly step in to assist with the younger children in our Kidzone program. These youth have already developed strong servant hearts, and they joyfully answer God’s calling in their lives by sitting alongside little ones who may be missing mom and dad, who may be visiting for the first time, or who may just need guidance.
On several occasions we have seen a middle school boy take the initiative to engage children in an activity and a high school girl interact with a baby in the nursery — both simply to share God’s love. You see, our youth have developed a sense of how they have been chosen — chosen and appointed by God to bear fruit. In Children’s Ministry, that fruit includes the connections that have been formed by serving, the relationships that have been built by lending a hand, and the trust that has been gained by sharing a smile. We are so thankful for our youth, for the many gifts they bring to the North Campus, and for the way God is working in their lives.
