History:
The Mission Society was founded in 1984 with an emphasis on sending missionaries to areas where the gospel had been least heard so they could introduce individuals to Christ, disciple new believers, plant churches, and come alongside national leaders to help them reach their own nations for Christ. More than 25 years later, this focus continues to guide us.

Mission:
The Mission Society exists to mobilize and deploy the body of Christ globally to join Jesus in His mission, especially among the least-reached peoples.

Our Strategies
Mobilize the Body of Christ so that it will live and share the gospel incarnationally in order to more effectively reach the least reached with the goal that we make disciple-makers who lead communities that do and proclaim God’s mercy and justice.

Today, an estimated 2.2 billion people have yet to hear the gospel of Christ. Since 1984, The Mission Society has grown to recruit, train, and support more than 180 missionaries in more than 35 nations around the world. We also partner with local churches to provide speakers and resources to aid the growth of local churches’ mission awareness and activity.
