The Children’s Ministry at Mt. Bethel UMC is a safe place where children can come to learn about God’s Word and to live and love like Jesus taught. They will feel God’s love through those who take time to share their talents.

Help Your Kids Grow in Faith
Have you ever tried to have a conversation with your kids on the way home from church? “What did you learn today?” In the past, you might have received a hodgepodge of answers. Not anymore. All of our children, ages two through fifth grade, are taught the same Bible passages in Children’s Ministry programming.
For nursing mothers, a room is available in the nursery wing with rockers, a changing table, and a closed circuit television so moms can see the worship service.
How Check-In Works
The safety of your children while in our care is of great importance to us. For this reason, we have put in place check-in and pick-up procedures to ensure the security and safety of your children. Read more »
In order to protect the health of the children in our care, we ask that children be kept at home with any of the following conditions: vomiting, fever, diarrhea, deep bronchial cough, or any other contagious illnesses. Any child should be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to the Children’s Ministry.
Mt. Bethel UMC is a community leader in ministry and outreach to families of children, teens, and adults who have physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities. To find out more, click here or contact Kim McGarr.
We baptize children almost every Sunday in our services. For infant/child baptisms, contact Debi Wyatt for more information or to schedule a date. Please note that at least one parent of the child must be a member of Mt. Bethel.
Every volunteer in the Children’s Ministry has completed a background check and attended Safe Sanctuaries Training. If you are interested in volunteering in the Children’s Ministry, please fill out the volunteer application and background check. After these steps are completed, someone will contact you to provide Safe Sanctuaries Training and the details of how you may be involved in Children’s ministry.
