MB Kids Missions
We believe that Jesus calls every single one of us to “go” to share His love, and that includes our children. Children don’t have to wait until they become adults to serve. They can make a huge difference in people’s lives now within the community and even globally. Children can become the hands and feet of Christ.
Vacation Bible School Missions Focus 2019
Mt. Bethel’s 2019 VBS will support our local and global Missions Partners by engaging in service projects during VBS as well as bringing in donations to support our Missions Partners. We will collect the following items for each Partner:
- Donations are OPTIONAL, but a great opportunity to teach and show compassion for others! Bring items any day during VBS.
- Hygiene Collection: deodorant, chapstick, and bar soap (Camp Hope)
- Empty your piggy bank! Bring $5 to send a child in India to VBS. (Hope for Today—VBS in India)
- VBS Participants will be assembling lunch items for community lunch distribution with MUST Ministries during VBS.
Camp Hope is a week-long, overnight summer camp that empowers children with the chance to build community, experience new opportunities, and find hope for their future. Camp Hope is the entry point into a decade of progressive programming that is specially designed to support children with an incarcerated parent. We offer two sessions of camp, serving over 175 children of inmates each summer, and we rely on over 250 volunteers to support these camp sessions. The ultimate goal of Camp Hope is to create teens who understand basic Biblical principles and utilize those principles in their daily living environments.
Hope for Today in South Asia shares Christ’s love through Compassion Ministries, Church Planting, and Leadership Training. A donation of $5 will send a child in India to VBS.
MUST Ministries is a volunteer driven organization in Cobb and Cherokee Counties meeting the basic needs of individuals, families and children. Kids at VBS will make 1,000 lunches which MUST will distribute on Thursday of VBS to children participating in the MUST Summer Lunch program. Donations of hygiene items will go to support MUST’s shelter and outreach clients.
MB Kids also incorporates mission projects during services on fifth Sundays of months throughout the year. Additionally, offerings are collected during Easter Walk and Bethlehem Walk for special missions projects.
