Mt. Bethel’s 34th Habitat Home is going to a wonderful family from Kenya.
Peter Nyaga and Elizabeth Kimani are very grateful to have been chosen to immigrate to the United States. The United States offers a lottery program in Kenya where you are simply chosen by chance to receive a green card. They were overjoyed when they learned in 2011 they had been selected to begin a new and prosperous life in America. The couple has two children; their son, Leader is 6 years old and their daughter, Splendour is 18 months old.
The couple has worked hard and made wise decisions in order to gain financial stability. Peter works for a fabric company in Kennesaw in the warehouse. He has worked there almost 3 years and enjoys it. Peter also attends college at night pursuing a nursing degree. Elizabeth works nights in an assisted living facility as a caretaker.
The family does not have much free time as they juggle work schedules and school and try to provide the best future possible for their children. They do find time to attend Kenya American Community Church in Marietta each week. Peter and Elizabeth are very grateful for God’s blessings in not only bringing them to the United States but in now providing an opportunity for them to own a Habitat home.
Building starts on July 19. Sign up now to meet this family, and help make their dream come true.
