What is the Easter Walk?

This year, MB Kids would love to partner with you and introduce the Easter Walk on Wednesday, March 21, from 5:30-7pm. This interactive, educational, outdoor Lenten journey will focus on the last week of Jesus’ life on earth. The walk is comprised of stations depicting the Easter story and includes a barnyard animal petting zoo. Please mark your calendars and plan on bringing your family, neighbors, and friends.

Is there any charge for the event?

There is no charge for the event. Donations for a small animal farm for missions will be accepted.

Where does the walk begin?

Start on the MB Fields, between the CAC and the pavilion.  The Easter Walk will include stations around the lake. Barnyard Animals will have a petting zoo to enjoy before and after the Easter Walk.

What types of stations will we see?

Kids will receive a passport as they begin their travels through the story of Jesus’ last week on earth.  As they walk through each station, beginning with the entry into Jerusalem and ending with the Empty Tomb, they will receive a sticker for their passport.  Parents are encouraged to accompany their children in groups and pause at each station to hear that portion of the Easter story.

Is it appropriate for young children?

The event is meant for families and children ages zero to 99. Obviously, the story of Jesus’s sacrifice is tough to comprehend, but it is a story critical to our faith and will be taught gently.  We are excited to offer this educational opportunity for our children.

Will the event include an Easter egg hunt?

This event replaces the Easter egg hunt on the East Cobb campus. MB North has a hunt scheduled for March 31. Reservations are required.

Can we eat Wednesday night dinner?

Wednesday night dinner is offered from 4:30-6:45pm. No reservation is required. The price is $7 for adults, $4 for ages 4-10, and $2 for 3 years and under.  The Easter Walk may take 45 minutes, so plan accordingly.

Will recreation activities continue on that Wednesday night?

All practices or games will continue as scheduled.

What if it rains?

Rain date is Wednesday, March 28, 5:30-7pm.
