Sundays in-person outdoors | 4-5:15pm | Begins October 4 Wednesdays via Zoom | 7-8:15pm | Begins October 7
If you have recently or maybe some time ago, experienced the death of a significant person in your life, including the death of a spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or friend, we strongly encourage and invite you to consider attending the 13-week GriefShare educational support group.
There will be an online group on Wednesdays via Zoom from 7–8:15pm until a time is determined that it will be safe to meet indoors.
There will also be an outdoor group requiring physical distancing and masks until the weather deters that group. This outdoor educational GriefShare support group meeting will be held on Sundays beginning October 4, 2020, through October 25 from 4-5:15pm on the west side of the main parking lot of Mt. Bethel East Cobb. Each person will need to bring their own chair. When this group can no longer meet outdoors due to weather, the group will be encouraged to join the online Zoom meetings on Wednesdays from 7-8:15pm. The weekly sessions will parallel each other so hopefully, no one needs to miss participating in any of the sessions.
This series of GriefShare is facilitated by Dr. Susan Zonnebelt-Smeenge, a licensed clinical psychologist, and Dr. Robert DeVries, a pastor and seminary professor emeritus. This program is open to anyone from the community and may be joined at any point. We encourage participants to attend all or most meetings but welcome you whenever available. For more information including how to register, please contact Rev. Kim McGarr.
Additionally, Dr. Susan Zonnebelt-Smeenge is presently available online through a HIPPA approved secure website to provide grief, loss, and dying psychotherapy including individual and family-related concerns you might have. Her services are available to anyone from the community as well as Mt. Bethel church members. You can schedule an appointment or get more information by calling Susan at 616.780.1082.
