Romania Deborah House Mission Trip

 

Our Mt. Bethel team will serve and show God’s love to the girls and young women (ages 9 – 18) living at the Deborah House, a Christian residential refuge for girls escaping sexual abuse or trafficking. Founded in 2002 by Romanian Christians with the support of Mt Bethel, Deborah House provides a safe home for approximately 25 girls and provides these precious children emotional support, psychological counseling, and educational, medical & legal resources, all in a Christian environment.  Our trip will involve getting to know the ministry and developing a relationship with the girls through vacation bible school-style crafts, games, devotionals, and lessons; sharing meals; and assisting with a small renovation project.  We will also participate in some of the ministry’s other initiatives for at-risk children, as well as learn about the history and culture of Romania.
