Shopping with friends is always fun to do. But it’s even better when you get a real bargain, AND all the proceeds of your shopping trip go directly to a great cause.

On Monday, March 20, the Friends in Faith A.M. Circle toured and shopped at the newest Drake Closet boutique, which recently opened in Sandy Springs. The Drake Closet is a ladies resale shop of new and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. All sales proceeds go to support The Drake House, an organization that offers short-term crisis housing for homeless mothers and children. The Sandy Springs location is the third boutique in the Northside area, with two others in Roswell and Alpharetta.

Not only can you shop for great bargains, but you can also support The Drake Closet with donations to any of the three boutiques. When you clean out your closet, consider donating your items to The Drake Closet. Some of the donations go to The Drake House moms as they work toward finding jobs and getting their lives back on track. And all purchases help these moms.

Also, all three locations have a formalwear section so those prom and bridesmaids’ dresses can have a second life.

Shop at any of The Drake Closet locations Tuesday through Friday from 10-5 and Saturday from 10-3.  Donations are accepted Tuesday through Friday from 10-3 and Saturday from 10-1. For more information about The Drake House, The Drake Closet and how the organization serves the homeless, please visit www.thedrakehouse.org.
