Meeting dates: When disaster strikes

Purpose:
To respond quickly and as needed to communities suffering a disaster, whether they are one day’s drive or a short plane flight away. Mt. Bethel UMC provides “flood buckets” through the North Georgia United Methodist Conference for hurricane or other flood disasters. Many residents of Iowa and the Gulf Coast
have been helped by Mt. Bethel UMC volunteers.

Service opportunities:

• “Mucking out”-no skills required.
• Various construction projects.
• Listening skills.
• Relief team leaders.
• Trip leaders.
• Flood bucket collection and assembly coordinators.
