The Children’s Ministry at Mt. Bethel UMC is a safe place where children can come to learn about God’s Word and to live and love like Jesus taught. Find what to expect on Sunday for children by age group:
Nursery | Preschool | Elementary
If you are visiting for the first time, please park in visitor parking and enter through the Welcome Center. Please come to our Information booth where we will greet your family and register your child. We will then lead you and your child to their age-appropriate room. For your child’s protection, security stickers are used for children, birth through fifth grade.
Nursery (Six Weeks to Age Two)
The Mt. Bethel Nursery provides a Christ-centered, loving environment for children. Our nursery rooms are well staffed, and we care for children ages six weeks through two years old. Children who reach age two before September 1, may attend Sunday School. On Sunday mornings, our nursery is available during all Sunday worship services. For nursing mothers, we have a room with rockers, a changing table, and a closed circuit television so moms can see the worship service.
If you are new to Mt. Bethel and would like to see the nursery on Sunday mornings, we offer informal tours during worship services. Email Lindsey Warren to learn more about us, or call 770.971.2588.
The Nursery is available for most church programs and events. Reservation is required, and can be done by email, online form, or calling 770.971.2588. (Reservations are not required for Sunday mornings.)

Kid Quest for K to second graders | F015 Education Building
KQ (Kid Quest) is a worship service designed for our younger elementary children (K–second grade). We are seekers of truth and on a quest for wisdom and knowledge. The Bible is our guide on this adventure. Music, message, games, and more engage our young treasure seekers and reveal the character of God through the story of God.
The POD for third to fifth graders | F011 Education Building
The POD (Place of Discipleship) is a worship experience designed for our upper elementary children (third-fifth grade). Our large group experience engages the Biblical message, skits, games, videos, and life application discussion of the Scripture. Our small groups breakouts are totally relational, allowing children a place to ask questions, pray, learn, and develop relationships that will carry them into adolescence.
