Grades 7-8 Puerto Rico Spring Break Mission Trip

March 31, 2018-April 6, 2018 | $1750. Special discount for first 100 registrations.* | Puerto Rico

Mt. Bethel UMC’s mission is that members would be “compelled to love like Christ so that our lives, our community, and our world
will be transformed for the glory of God.” Our Student Ministries provides safe, challenging and transformative opportunities for
students live out this mission and the commission that Jesus made when He told His disciples to “GO and make disciples” (Matthew
28:19). Students will have the opportunity to work alongside nationals to share the love and message of Jesus with children and the community, encourage their peers in sharing devotions and other gifts for ministry, and experience transformational worship.

In Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory, this trip is designed as a “parent-child” pair experience and will provide many opportunities for serving as a family and with other families. We will be partnering with local pastors who have identified strategic homes with a service project component. We will have the opportunity to interact with the children and youth in Puerto Rico through VBS programming, sports, and games. Each ministry will give us the opportunity to share the love of Christ through our words and actions. Our trip is designed to bring encouragement and support to the local pastor and community throughout the week.

*The actual price of the trip is $1750; however, due to the generous support of Mt. Bethel, the first 100 registrants for our spring break trips (Puerto Rico, Belize, or Romania) will receive $1000 towards the cost of their trip. Please note: this means the first 100 total will receive $1000 towards their trip, regardless of age group. Registration opens October 1 and closes November 30.
