Operation Christmas Child

November 12, 2023

Boxes for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) will be available for pickup beginning Sunday, October 22, (while supplies last) and need to be returned no later than November 12.

Individuals, families, small groups, and Sunday School classes are encouraged to participate in Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, that distributes shoeboxes filled with small gifts for needy children around the world. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world and, together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ

📝 If you’ve never packed a box, step-by-step instructions can be found here. You will also find suggestions of acceptable/unacceptable items for your box on the Operation Christmas Child site. You may use your own shoe box or pick one up at the church (while supplies last.) Return your filled shoebox by Sunday, November 12.

Mt. Bethel has enjoyed the privilege of participating in this ministry outreach for many years. Your contribution helps to make a visible and tangible difference to a child in need.

Helpful hints:

🎁 PLEASE USE an OCC box whenever possible. If you use your own box, please use these dimensions – L 12 x W 7 x H 4. NO BOOT BOXES OR LARGE BOXES

🧦 Please remove all packaging of items inside boxes (except toothbrushes and soap)

⚽ DO NOT tape boxes shut (please close with 2 rubber bands)

🧸 Place “girl” “boy” label on the end of the box (not in the middle)
